suprise!

I was dinking around, waiting for my laundry to get done when I got a phone call. It was Lance, who I just usually talk to online because it's easier, but he called me to see what was going on. We were talkin' for a while, I was watching something about Star Wars, he was watching something on PBS. Then he asked me what my address was in case he ever wanted to send me a card or a Christmas present or something like that, so I gave it to him, and we're talkin' a bit more, and I hear a knock on my door. No one knocks on my door, so I'm like, "Hold on a sec," and open the door to see none other than Lance standing at my door w/ his phone to his head! What a great suprise! I didn't figure he was going to come visit!

So we went to find Amy in the dorms and suprised the heck outta her, 'cause Lance had told her he wasn't going to be able to make it since he didn't have enough money. So we went to Subway (apparently that's the place to be on a Saturday afternoon) and ate lunch and talked a bit. But I had to be dropped back off at my apartment to get my clothes out of the dryer, shower, and go to work in the next half hour.

I get to my clothes in the dryer, and they're slightly warm, but completely damp! OH! I was so mad! So I put some more quarters in and they're drying right now. I took a quick shower, and now I'm just sitting here waiting for my shirts to get dry so I can go to work in a clean shirt. I have 20 minutes 'til I have to be there, and I really hope I either A) don't have to go to work in a dirty shirt or B) don't have to go to work in a damp shirt. Grrr.

Also, it's almost 80* outside and just BEAUTIFUL. Told Lance he needs to go through the canyon some time today while he's here 'cause this weekend is the peak time to do so. I think I'm gonna go hang out with him and Megan, one of his friends, and some other people he knows tonight when I get off work since Wes is going to be at the UT football game in Knoxville 'til midnight my time or so. Blah. Okay, well, I guess I should go check on my shirts here pretty soon, since I should be leaving in about five minutes...Wish me luck!
